Why is Walden building kneeboards? Well, we have been building kneeboards since 1969. Here's a brief history:
Steve built his first kneeboard for himself, called the Full Force. He loved the sport so much that he went into production in Huntington Beach in 1971. Steve had a full-on kneeboard team, including team riders Dean Cleary and Ed Greener.
Steve moved to Hawaii in 1974 and continued kneeboarding at Rocky Point between surf sessions. Steve's kneeboard production continued in Hawaii for Lightning Bolt, Surfline Hawaii, and HIC. Fast forward to today, and Steve is back designing and shaping kneeboards. We are introducing two new models, the Lowrider and the Mojo
The Moto is our traditional kneeboard in size only 5'6-6'6; otherwise, there's nothing traditional about this board! It's a high-performance powerhouse with our famous Magic Model hull for speed, maneuverability, and responsiveness.
